Hi I'm Nick! I like stratocasters, hum-buckers, V/iv, C# dorian, and making music with other humans!

Inspired by classic rock bands and cartoon soundtracks, I began playing guitar and writing songs at an early age. Throughout my youth, I took leadership roles in local bands, provided accompaniment for musical theater and dance, and began experimenting with recorded music by throwing instruments down staircases. In 2015 I was accepted to The Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where I learned to arrange my compositions for a variety of ensembles including big band and orchestra.

Outside the classroom I got the chance to add to my performance resume and explore new styles of music from manouche jazz to thrash metal. I played the part of Cory Wong in Henry Godfrey’s Vulfpeck Ensemble, and frequented Fenway bars with local country singers. I pride myself on showing up to every show prepared and ready to play. When the situation calls for it, my enthusiasm is channeled into my energetic stage presence, which has been described as "a really elaborate game of don't touch the floor"

Most recently I’ve composed soundtracks for projects in Hampshire College’s Game Design and Development department, and recorded an authentic soundalike of The Who’s Young Man Blues. In 2019 I earned my degree in Contemporary Writing and Production summa cum laude by presenting a portfolio of music in a variety of styles that I had arranged, produced, and mixed from the ground up.
